… the short list of dos and don’ts for the winter season. (Some of these I am reminded of from personal experience, like number one)

  1. Do let your sweaters air-dry, apparently they shrink in the dryer.
  2. Do pack a small shovel in the trunk of your car.  Either you’ll need it or you may want to use it to help someone else.
  3. While your packing your shovel, throw in a flashlight and gloves…or go buy a ‘readiness kit’ from a local store.
  4. Do let your faucet drip during freeze warnings, it’s so much better than waking up to frozen pipes.
  5. Do remember your pets and keep them warm, too.
  6. Don’t overload your electrical circuits with Christmas lights (you know who you are, don’t burn down the house!)
  7. Don’t speed while driving on ice (yes, some people have to be reminded)
  8. Don’t drive before scraping off the ice from your windows
  9. Don’t run over the guy opening the door to the store the day of the big sale (apparently, this is now a problem)
  10. Don’t forget the reason we celebrate Christmas!  It’s not about the toys.

If you feel that I have left out something very important, please feel free to comment in the box below and let me know!  Have a safe Christmas Season!
