Winter is back, so don't forget . . .
December 11
. . . the short list of dos and don'ts for the winter season. (Some of these I am reminded of from personal experience, like number one)
- Do let your sweaters air-dry, apparently they shrink in the dryer.
- Do pack a small shovel in the trunk of your car. Either you'll need it or you may want to use it to help someone else.
- While your packing your shovel, throw in a flashlight and gloves...or go buy a 'readiness kit' from a local store.
- Do let your faucet drip during freeze warnings, it's so much better than waking up to frozen pipes.
- Do remember your pets and keep them warm, too.
- Don't overload your electrical circuits with Christmas lights (you know who you are, don't burn down the house!)
- Don't speed while driving on ice (yes, some people have to be reminded)
- Don't drive before scraping off the ice from your windows
- Don't run over the guy opening the door to the store the day of the big sale (apparently, this is now a problem)
- Don't forget the reason we celebrate Christmas! It's not about the toys.
If you feel that I have left out something very important, please feel free to comment in the box below and let me know! Have a safe Christmas Season!
