Merry Christmas! Well, now as the sun sets and the parties wind down, most of us have enjoyed yet another day of memories. Hopefully, no one forgot the original reason we celebrated the reason this day was named for.

Merry Christmas Eve Eve
December 23
Good thing I didn't start saying that to people a month ago . . .
Hey, seriously, stop playing around. Just to think how time flies.
Just a few months ago we were all thinking about what we might or might
not do if and when Christmas ever get around to being here. Well, you
got it. In two days, some of us will forget why we're celebrating
Christmas, and others will stop to remember, and most Americans will
subsequently give gifts to each other. Some, won't have the
opportunity to give, and some won't receive. Please remember how
blessed you are and don't neglect the needs of others.
Giving gifts is fine, just don't get lost in it alone. Get lost in
Jesus, He is the reason for this special holiday. Have a Merry
Christmas!
Winter is back, so don't forget . . .
December 11
. . . the short list of dos and don'ts for the winter season. (Some of these I am reminded of from personal experience, like number one)
- Do let your sweaters air-dry, apparently they shrink in the dryer.
- Do pack a small shovel in the trunk of your car. Either you'll need it or you may want to use it to help someone else.
- While your packing your shovel, throw in a flashlight and gloves...or go buy a 'readiness kit' from a local store.
- Do let your faucet drip during freeze warnings, it's so much better than waking up to frozen pipes.
- Do remember your pets and keep them warm, too.
- Don't overload your electrical circuits with Christmas lights (you know who you are, don't burn down the house!)
- Don't speed while driving on ice (yes, some people have to be reminded)
- Don't drive before scraping off the ice from your windows
- Don't run over the guy opening the door to the store the day of the big sale (apparently, this is now a problem)
- Don't forget the reason we celebrate Christmas! It's not about the toys.
If you feel that I have left out something very important, please feel free to comment in the box below and let me know! Have a safe Christmas Season!
