Patience makes that more tolerable which it is impossible to prevent or remove.” –Horace

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” –J. J. Rousseau

I see thou hast pass-d sentence on my part; and I’ll no longer weep, or plead against it; but with the humlest, most obedient patience meet thy dear hands, and kiss them when they wound me.” –Otway

Here we are in August.  I am reminded of a project I had planned for this month, which I laid aside in favor of God’s plan.  While the project, an outreach trip to Papua New Guinea, would have been a good thing, it was not God’s timing.  I have thanked God many times since I put aside the trip for His grace and peace in calming my heart and mind after feeling a burden to go and trying to get life settled in preparation for it.  I hope that He will see fit in my future to help make a way for me to go.  Please pray in the next two weeks for Stan and Tresa Rowe and their family in Papua New Guinea as they prepare for a revival meeting and try to reach more souls for Christ.  Also, remember Jim and Mary Blume, another fine family and good friends working for His Glory in PNG.

Patience–Of whose soft grace, I have her sovereign aid, and rest myself content.” –Shakespeare
