Lyrics

For God and Country, I will stand
For God and Country, I will contend.
I will stand for what’s right, both in the dark and the light,
I will help the cause however I can – however I can.

I wake up every morning and say a little prayer,
I talk to God and let Him know my every little care.
As I go through my day trying to stay on the straight and narrow path.
I salute the flag, and remember how many veterans gave their lives.
I remember the stories that my grandpa used to tell of the price of liberty.

For God and Country, I will stand
For God and Country, I will contend.
I will stand for what’s right, both in the dark and the light,
I will help the cause however I can – however I can.

When I sing, “God Bless America” I sing of a deep love
For a country freed by many men who died for a cause.
When I say, “One Nation Under God” I claim…

For God and Country, I will stand
For God and Country, I will contend.
I will stand for what’s right, both in the dark and the light,
I will help the cause however I can – however I can.

Mine eyes have seen the glory, of the coming of the Lord.
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored.
He has loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible, swift sword.
His truth is marching on.

Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on!

For God and Country, I will stand
For God and Country, I will contend.
I will stand for what’s right, both in the dark and the light,
I will help the cause whatever the cost —
Whatever the cost, for God and my Country.  However I can, for God and my Country.
For God and Country, I will stand, I will contend, whatever the cost!
