In the year of Google's 10th anniversary, they've introduced a program called Project 10¹⁰⁰ where Google encourages people to get outside and help others, instead of just sticking to their own needs. Submissions for the contest sid eof things close on October 20th, and voting will be open on January 27th, where the grand prize of $10 million will be awarded to the project that seems most likely to succeed and help the most people.  See the homepage for details.
