Today was a fabulous day.

To start, it smelled of rain, but was bright with sun­shine.  It’s a fresh, clean earth.

Then, I didn’t have as much laun­dry to do, mak­ing it pos­si­ble to get the dry­ing done in one load, which saves money.

Finally, I got a free car­wash after chang­ing the oil. (read: it rained again)

Yes­ter­day was rel­a­tively quiet on the “surprise-me-ometer”.  I’ll ven­ture to say that God let’s us have days like these so we can appre­ci­ate the sur­prises bet­ter when they come.  Maybe He’s rec­og­niz­ing that we have our agenda too, and allows us to make a lit­tle progress on it before help­ing us get back on His.
